Arrr Matey, it's been one of those days you would rather forget and hope that when you wake up tomorrow it's all been redone as if it was just a random bad dream.

But no, the people behind the Pirate Bay has just updated their blog and they state "

Yes, it's true.

News reached the press today in Sweden - The Pirate Bay might get aquired by Global Gaming Factory X AB.

Well, following it up a bit it seems the new company GCF wants to pay the "copyright" holders , the problem obviously is that with all the material avaibable it will be a real pain in the arse to sort out who owns what and how much tpb owns each one.

What we probably are looking at is a New Napster with independent sections that you pay for to access (probably by monetary means or by other means like a subscription or fixed rates). I'm pretty sure however that they will fail in the basics, and that is adquiring the rights to distribute the files from the copyrightholders just like services like Joost have had huges problems before.

I'm hoping that when I awake tomorrow this will only be a bad dream and that it was just that.
